And just like that, it's been another month with this Tily girl!
Matilda is:
... the happiest girl. She has been super smiley lately. She often looks up at me with a giant gummy grin, and my heart just melts. Tily is truly such a joy in our home, and in this crew we have. She is so delightful.
... an excellent sleeper. She will sleep for 7-8 hours at night, wake up to eat, and sleep another 3-4. So we've all been feeling pretty good over here. She's such a considerate girl for her momma's needs. :)
... so content. As long as she can sense someone near, she is just about always calm and cool. She likes being surrounded by the chaos and noise of our busy little crew. But when she's left alone, she'll let out this long drawn-out "meow" sounding little whine -- like, "Where are my people? Come back! I'm lonely!" It's the most heartbreakingly adorable sound.
... trying to sit up and roll over. She is doing full on crunches to try and sit up lately. It's impressive and exhausting to watch! She's figured out how to roll to her side, and does this cute little frog-leg kick with her legs to try and move how she wants. And just in the past few days, she's been doing this funny hand/belly slap - it's like halfway between drill team and the haka - complete with the most expressive faces!
... a finger sucker. I frequently find her sucking on her two middle fingers. It's funny, not her thumb or knuckles like some of her sisters... Just these two specific fingers. It's quite hilarious, and I suppose it's one of her methods to remain calm. It makes me laugh everytime I see it!
Oh, we love Miss Matilda.
She's is such a light in our home.
God is so good to us.
