My concept of time seems to be completely off these days...
I feel like we just took pictures of 3 months with Tily,
and now we're at FOUR!
Matilda is:
... laughing and giggling! It's the sound of pure joy, and literal music to my ears. Her older sisters are the funniest, and she laughs and laughs at them all day. She chatters and sings, and it just melts me. Baby laughter is truly good for the soul.
... still such a sweet, calm, loving baby girl. After getting shots the other day, she had her first prolonged crying session. [I am not making this up - it truly has been four months of little squawks and squeaks, and almost no crying.] She cried for a solid 2 minutes, and then fell asleep. She's quite considerate that way. I don't know how we got so lucky, but she just is so content. And when she does et upset, she is such a great self-soother. I don't deserve her!
... blowing bubbles and raspberries. and almost seems to know the appropriate time to spit - like when I ask if we should change her diaper, or if she's ready to take a nap, she'll spit or blow bubbles at me, and then giggle! It's pretty comical! She is getting so expressive and entertaining.
... starting to pass things between her hands, and beginning to have more control over her movements. She can usually grab what she's reaching for, and loves to be holding onto things - a blanket, her clothes, my hair, her pacifier clip, her bow... she has busy little hands!
... the most patient baby in all the land. She's just a little angel. We've had a crazy month - working in the yard, a trip to the ER for Branson, sewing her baby quilt, making her blessing dress, piano lessons, homeschool, church callings - all on top of the regular bustle of 4 kids and laundry and dishes... but through it all, Tily has shows such patience. She's still such a cheerful, content little gal. She is just the best thing, and I'm the luckiest momma!
