Time is robbing me.
My baby is already a month old!
If we can figure out how to land Rover Perseverance on Mars, can we PLEASE figure it how to make time go slower?!
...the sweetest, calmest, most patient baby is all the land. She is hardly ever upset. She'll squirm and squawk when she needs a new diaper or is hungry... But her cries have been very few and far between. One of those times was yesterday, and she hadn't been been crying long... And Goldie and Phoebe came to find me frantically because "Tily is crying! Something must be really, really wrong! Come quick!"
...officially the baby with the most hair in our family! I think she has more hair than all of the other girls put together their first six months of life. It's half curly and half straight, and I'm so interested to see which way it grows. But, oohh, baby hair is SO soft and perfect.
...all about physical touch. Is it too early to tell her love language? Ha. Even in the hospital hours after delivery, she did not like being in her bassinet - she wanted to be held and feel our touches. She loves to snuggle and will fall asleep in a second if I hold her close. She'll nuzzle into me - my neck, my chest, my elbow - and fall right asleep.
...a squeaky little snoozer. From her first few days, she'll squeak like a little mouse when she sleeps. It's not like snoring... It's more like a little toy being squished on a regular beat. It's music to my ears. I love her tiny sounds.
...just what our family needed right now. We all are obsessed with her. The older girls always want to hold her or help her, and we've already had so many sweet, tender moments with all of them. Tily has brought such a beautiful spirit of peace into our home. She is our little angel darling.
We love Matilda Jean!
Phoebe always calls her by her full name, and will sing "Rock-a-Bye Baby," ending with "Down will come Matilda Jean Larson and all!" It's adorable.
Four kids no walk in the park, but we could ask for sweeter girls to be in our family.
Life is good at our house.
