Golden is eleven months.
e.l.e.v.e.n.
And somehow she gets more adorable every second.
Golden is:
... starting to walk! So far, she's quite selective of her audience, and has limited multiple step shows for us and Uncle Tanner, but she's doing it. If there are other witnesses, however, she'll usually just stand for a few seconds and then sit herself right down.
... a little musician! This girl loves music. She loves to sing. She won't let me play the piano without playing with me. She plays the drums on her highchair tray, and if there is any beat within earshot, she's movin' and groovin'. She's awesome.
... getting sassy and opinionated. She is still such a sweet, happy girl, but he has started to make it known to the world when she does not like or want something. She chirps and squawks to express her dismay and has started throwing things she doesn't want. Super fun. It has been interesting to see her start to stand up for herself with Afton. Goldie has started to want a turn with toys, have playtime with bigger kids, and does not tolerate getting pushed around just because she's small. She's a tough little one!
... so smart! She has started to pick up on little things we do - she brushes her hair when she's in the bathroom. She folds her arms when we say prayers. She is starting to associate words with things, and will fetch an item and bring it to me if I point it out to her. She loves to help me load silverware in the dishwasher. She loves to read books, and points at everything with this darling little ET-phone-home finger. Ha ha! Her vocabulary is increasing, and she is fascinated with animals. She is amazing.
... still my little snuggle bunny. She has been my girl from day one, and still will snuggle me everyday. It's the very best. She gives great hugs, blows kisses, and cannot plant enough smooches on her dad's face!
This is her "Cheeser Face."
She makes it on demand, usually. And it's my favorite.
We're just the luckiest to have these girls.
Absolutely lucky.
