Ten Months!
How did we get here?!
Golden is:
... a piranha. She has eight teeth, and I *think* she may be working on more. She's gotten very good at chewing all kinds of food [and once on her sister's face when she got too rough], and has the cutest little gap between her two front teeth. When she makes her "cheese" face, you can't help but smile and chuckle. And she has a super fancy tongue - she can do all sorts of tricks with her tongue. It's adorable.
... standing for quite a while on her own, but won't take any steps without holding on to something. She's getting braver, but not quite walking yet. But she crawls lightning fast, and likes to play "chase" with Afton and I. She'll crawl in circles with someone chasing her, then quickly turn around and start chasing the chaser.
... a climber. Stairs, couches, over pillows, on me... she's figuring out that she can get where she wants to go without help sometimes. It's a little scary, and there have been a few close calls, but luckily no disastrous falls yet. She is a little monkey!
... a little joker. She fake laughs until someone laughs at her. She loves teasing her sister. She likes to pretend to share her pacifier with her dad, only to snatch it away at the last minute with a maniacal chuckle. She loves to play peek-a-boo, and will hide her face in blankets, towels, and curtains, then pull them off and laugh and laugh!
... fearless. She tries to dive off the couch or the bed quite frequently, much to my dismay. For some reason, she loves to throw herself backward and hang upside down. It makes me dizzy. She loves being tossed in the air, or twirling in circles, and she enjoys wind blowing in her face. Isn't that weird?!
... a chatterbox. She loves to talk. And sometimes scream. She correctly calls us "mom" and "daddad," she says "some" when she wants some food [I think because we typically say "do you want some?"] and will sometimes say "more," She definitely has found her voice, and she'll sing anytime there's music around, and there is no mistaking when she's mad. He little growls have turned into screaming squawks - she sounds like the little chicken from Moana, ha ha.
She's still just so delightful, and we're all obsessed with her!
Oh, we're the luckiest to have these girls!
