This little Miss Golden is seven months!
Golden is:
... everywhere! She is completely mobile. She's crawling - both army crawl and up on her knees. She is pulling herself up to standing [already!] and she just seems to think she's as big as Afton and wants to do everything she can do. It's amazing how fast this little girl is. She likes to be chased, and giggles and giggles as she squirms herself across the room.
... eating everything. Though still nursing [like a champ], she loves - and I mean L.O.V.E.S. real, flavorful food. I started giving her some rice crackers and such a month or so ago, but they are just too bland for her, I guess. She'll push them away and reach for whatever Afton and I are eating. She loves salmon, rice, yogurt, banana bread, apples, oranges, cheese - really, anything and everything she's tried so far. Like the rest of us, she loves good food.
... clapping! Branson taught her to clap recently, and now it's her favorite thing. She loves to clap with Afton, and anytime she says "Yay!" Goldie tries to put her hands together. Too cute.
... tall as the day is long. Afton was a tall baby, but so far, Golds is measuring even ahead of her. At her last doctor appointment, she measured in the 99% for height. What on earth am I going to do with these tall girls? Its a completely new concept for me. I think I didn't even make it on the charts until I was 8...
... talking and singing, and has become a little musician. She loves to play the piano with me, she loves tapping and drumming, and she is constantly singing. Her little voice is one of my favorite daily sounds, and she has started saying "Mom" and "Dad" - and let the record show: Her first word was MOM! Hooray! We'll sit and talk to her and she will look at me and say "Mom Mom Mom" and then turn and look at Brans and say "Dad Dad Dad." She's smart, and she melts us on a daily basis.
... laughing. All. the. time. She has this high little squeal when she's tickled or when Afton is around [she thinks her big sister is a comedian. Seriously, Afton will "oooh oooh aaah aaah" like a monkey and it cracks Golds up every time.] Then, Goldie has started making this funny "agh" cough-laugh. It's totally forced, but she does it and smiles, and does it again. She keeps us laughing all day every day.
I did NOT pose this model picture.
Her mouth is always open like this. She's truly the happiest baby ever.
Oh, we love this girl.
She is such a sweet, calming spirit in our home.
She smiles at strangers everywhere we go, and truly is a special girl.
We are all enamored with her.
Flashback:
Oh, she's darling! (both of them)
