the boy who lived

I just purchased tickets for the last Harry Potter film.
[yes, the midnight showing, in case you were wondering]

We've gone from this:
to this:
and endured all of the adventures in between.

Yes, I can hardly contain my excitement.
No, I will not dress up as Hermione.
Yes, I will cry through the whole thing.
No, Brans will not cry with me.
Yes, he will make fun of me and all the other bawling children.
[just like in the 6th film when a very
unfortunate series of events happen.
hint: snape snape severus snape dumbledore
snape snape severus snape dumbledore]
No, I will not have a Harry Potter movie marathon before this one.
Yes, I will re-read the 7th book before the show.
No, I will not take the next day off of work to sleep.
Yes, I will be exhausted.
No, I will not regret it.
Yes, I will commence reading the whole series again after this.
No, it will not be for the second or third time.
[more like the nineteenth or twentieth...]

Yes, I love Harry Potter oh so much.
No, I am not obsessed.

boss

My job has been frustrating and so, so busy lately, so I've been a little down in the slums.
[i.e. projects being delayed, too much to do that it seems nothing gets done, etc.]

But today, my boss came back from lunch and handed me a small brown paper bag that contained this:
... about 100 white gummy bears. He had painstakingly picked out each of the gummy bears one at a time, from a big jar full of them at our downtown store. [He said he got several funny looks while he did it... but man, am I appreciative.]

White gummy bears are obviously the best kind of gummy bear, and were just the pick-me-up I needed today.

But what a great boss. I seriously love working for him, regardless of how hectic my job gets sometimes.

Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go make myself sick on gummy bears.
